Vidriera Casa Zapata, 1909.

Víctor Beltrí y Roqueta was born in 1862, in Tortosa.
He went to the Barcelona University because he wanted to become an architect.
He worked very hard to pay his degree.
In Barcelona, he worked with architects so important as Gaudí.
He worked in Tortosa and Gandía and, later, in Murcia.
In 1895 he arrived to Cartagena and he was the architect of our city hall. In our city, he also designed the best buildings of his life.

The style of his buildings is modernist. 
What are the main characteristics of this style?

  • Common materials: glass and iron
